. . . sharing resources and ideas to accelerate social innovation in Central Indiana and beyond.
Who We Are
We are forming a community of researchers, practitioners, and thought partners working to address complex or wicked public challenges and build more just, sustainable, and healthy communities in Central Indiana and beyond. We function as a learning collaborative, providing a platform for sharing ideas and research to accelerate social innovation. Together, we are raising the bar for fostering positive change.
What We Do
We spotlight social innovations, host conversations, and partner with organizations working for positive change. For example, we are partnered with Rethink Coalition, an organization working to improve downtown Indianapolis's I-65/I-70 interstate infrastructure. We research and report on insights and stories, providing practical guidance and reflections through blogs and community conversations about what's working and what isn't as we try to make sense of why.
Our Focus
We emphasize (1) systems thinking, design thinking, sustainable development goals, and related principles for problem-solving, (2) learning from people closest to challenges, and (3) examining the values underlying decision-making in any social challenge recognizing that they are the river that runs through it all.
Key Concepts and Ideas
We frame the learning collaborative around key concepts and ideas that provide the foundation and framework for conversations. To learn more about these concepts and ideas, go to the Key Concepts page.
